Introduction

Cueifong Lake, which elevation is 1,840 meters, is located between Taipingshan and Dayuanshan in the Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area in Yilan, Taiwan. As the rainy season is coming, the surface of the lake could be up to 25 hectares, which is the largest alpine lake in Taiwan.

Cueifong Scenic Road

• The scenary on the right side of the road is spectaculous. As you walk on the road, you can see the rare and protected animals like Formosan macaque, Formosan Reeve's muntjac, Mikado Pheasant and Swinhoe's Pheasant; at the 14km of the road, there's a sunrise observotary platform which is the hottest location of watching the sunrise.

Cueifong Lake Circular Trail

• Reconstructed along with the early transporting tracks can take tourists to observe the beautiful scenery closely. The trail is 3.95 km; the hiking time is about 2.5 hours.

Taiwan Beech Trail

• The largest Beech original forest; in four seasons, there are fabulous different sceneries. Especially in autumn, it will become the largest golden forest.
