Introduction

The Rocking Horse Park located at Sansing township in Yilan is a free spot and 24 hours open. Originally here are the Sansing park and Sansing station. After reconstruction, there are a new giant art work, Rocking Horse. As people is standing beside it, people looks tiny and adorable in contrast of the giant rocking horse. With series of reconstructions, it turns into a new hot spot and appeals lots of tourists to come to take photos. For many adults and children, rocking horse is a childhood important memory; expect the huge installation art, there are several see-saws, rocking horses and resting chairs designed by horses' image and there are many painted trash cans that make the park more childlike and adds more artistic atmosphere. Also there are an old Sansing train stop, because it's originally a station of Taipingshan forest railway for logging of Taipingshan forest during the era of Japanese Occupation. The station was falling down gradually after stopping the station; then, it becomes a park through development. At this park, many trees are planted like deciduous cypress that adults and children can enjoy the green bath as playing at here. And there's a pavilion that adults can take children to paint or do outdoors. The Rocking Horse Park takes many people's childhood memories; no matter the environment or artistic devices, the park has a relaxing, childlike and artistic atmosphere, it is good choice for family trip to take a break.
