Introduction

This is the first Jimmy theme square in Taiwan and the topic is "Memory Scenery". The installation art on site is completely taken from works of well-known picture book writers, Jimmy, who was born in Yilan and is the famous illustrators in Taiwan. The scene in the park which the man and the woman characters walking in their respective directions is from his picture book "A chance of sunshine". The scene in the park which the little boy and the little girl waiting for the bus to go to school together is from his picture book "The Starry Starry Night". These eye-catching designs are one of  Yilan County Government's plans to promote the "Star of Langcheng". Through the urban renewal, the old dormitory area for the railway bureau's staff on the south side of Yilan Railway Station will be reconstructed to National Highway Bus Station.old dormitory area of the railway bureau on the south side of the Yilan Railway Station And Yilan is exactly Jimmy's hometown, Jimmy's work team especially made use of the large square to build up a public art area which is the first Jimmy Square to present the sceneries and the characteristics in his picture book. It's officially opened on June 28th, 2013. As you travel in Yilan, come and visit here for taking pictures with the installation art as if you are in it. It's a good photo-taking place.
